Quarantine

Quarantine

Neither official document mentions quarantine. Absence of a statement is not an exemption — confirm with the Department of Agriculture before you sail.confidence: Unknown. Not located in any source yet.

Open questions

High priority

  1. HIGH PRIORITY — every requirement here comes from the certificate for animals arriving FROM THE UNITED STATES. A yacht clearing in from the BVI, Sint Maarten, St Barths or anywhere else in the chain is not covered by that document. Confirm with the Department of Agriculture which requirements apply to your actual last port.

Also open

  1. The certificate carries the stamp 11FEB2022. Confirm it is still the current version before relying on the timings.
  2. No import permit fee, validity period or processing time is stated by either official document. Pet-travel sites report a permit fee and a 30-day validity; none of it is officially sourced and none of it is recorded here.
  3. The Department of Agriculture web page lists a Pet Import Permit Application form but states no requirements. Obtain the form itself to see whether it adds conditions the health certificate does not.
  4. No rabies titer is required by the certificate. That is inferred from its absence in an otherwise exhaustive document, not from a positive statement — confirm if you are arriving from a country Anguilla treats as higher risk.
  5. Quarantine is not mentioned. Confirm whether any applies to an animal arriving by private yacht.
  6. Nothing addresses an animal that stays aboard and never lands, so no transit section is authored here.

Vaccination
Requiredconfidence: Inferred. Backed by an official source but not yet certified by a human reviewer.[1]
Min. before travel
30 days (Vaccinated at least 30 days before departure. A booster given against an unexpired previous vaccination may be administered less than 30 days before travel, provided the date of the previous vaccination is also listed.)confidence: Inferred. Backed by an official source but not yet certified by a human reviewer.[1]
Max. before travel
365 days (At minimum one year. The certificate accepts a vaccination up to the period the manufacturer registered it for — stated as 12 to 36 months — so a three-year vaccine is accepted for its full registered term.)confidence: Inferred. Backed by an official source but not yet certified by a human reviewer.[1]

Boosters, and what the certificate must show

Inactivated vaccine required. Boosters to an unexpired previous vaccination may be given inside the 30-day window if the earlier vaccination date is recorded.confidence: Inferred. Backed by an official source but not yet certified by a human reviewer.[1]

Rabies titer test

A blood test that measures rabies antibodies, to show the vaccination actually took. The sample has to be drawn a set time after the jab, and some places then make you wait months more before the animal may land — so this is the requirement most worth checking before you plan a route, not after.

Other health requirements

Note
Both items are halves of one certification statement, attested by the issuing accredited veterinarian before departure rather than checked on arrival, and they are split because an animal can fail either one independently — and the sixty-day one retrospectively, since nothing done before departure can undo a contact that already happened. Both come from the US-origin certificate: whether Anguilla asks the same two things of an animal arriving from the BVI, Sint Maarten or St Barths is not addressed by either cited document — see the sourcing note at the head of this file.

The same statement continues that the animals "have not been in contact with any animal suffering from the same for the past sixty (60) days" — the same being an infectious or contagious disease.confidence: Inferred.
